Here is the list of additional requirements to apply for an Umrah e-Visa

  • Only Muslim pilgrims can perform Umrah. So, only Muslim citizens of Ireland are allowed to apply for a Saudi Umrah e-Visa.
  • Pilgrims should have a Meningitis Vaccination document. Issued at least 10 days before and not more than three years before the trip to Saudi Arabia.
  • If an Irish pilgrim converts to Islam but does not have a Muslim name then the pilgrim should have a document from a mosque or Islamic organization confirming their Muslim status.
  • Women and children must be accompanied by their male relatives (Mahram). A child's birth certificate that lists both parents' names or a woman's marriage certificate is needed. Moreover, to enter and exit Saudi Arabia, the Mahram must board the same airplane as the women and children.
  • A woman over 45 can travel with the specified group. However, she must have an official document from her Mahram approving her to travel without a Mahram.

Minor children need a separate e-Visa to enter Saudi Arabia. Parents should apply for their children's Saudi eVisa. Children under 18 can only apply for an eVisa with a parent or legal guardian. Parents or legal guardians should travel with children under 18 on the same airplane.
